Outrigger Eldorado Cabana

Our Favorite Kaanapali Beach Wedding Location

Located on North Kaanapali beach, the Eldorado Outrigger Cabana is the only option for a toes in the sand wedding in Kaanapali. The Eldorado Outrigger Cabana also happens to be the closest catering location to our restaurant and licensed catering kitchen.

Located just north of Black Rock and the main Kaanapali Beach Resorts, the Outrigger Maui Eldorado Cabana is one of our favorite wedding locations in Kaanapali. The oceanfront wedding location is an absolutely specatular location for a Maui wedding day. This is the only beach wedding location in Kaanapali and the only wedding venue in Kaanapali with a beachfront cabana.

A few reasons why we the Eldorado Cabana is a favorite beach wedding venue in Kaaapali:

  • Private cabana on the beach for wedding reception.
  • Spectacular scenic views for beach weddings!
  • Walking distance from primary Kaanapali Resort hotels for Kaanapali weddings.
  • Easy wedding guest shuttle to the catering site (subject to availability).

NOTE: The main Kaanapali beach resort and KBRA prohibits public beach wedding on any of the Kaanapali beaches between the Hyatt Resort to the south and the Sheraton at Black Rock to the North. So, if your heart is set on a beach wedding in Kaanapali, the best catering location will be the Outrigger Beach Cabana located at the Outrigger Eldorado in the Kaanapli Resort. Use of the Eldorado cabana is only available for registered guests, so you’ll need to utilize for wedding guest accommodations, the wedding party or bride and groom accommodations.

Maui Events and Weddings at Public Beach Parks

There are so many oceanfront locations to choose from if you are getting married on Maui. Some of the best kept secrets are the Public Beaches on Maui. And being they are Public Beaches, there is no cost to use the beaches and facilities. All Hawaii Beaches are public and cannot be reserved by anyone. Beaches and parks may be utilized for Maui weddings and other Maui events on first come first served basis. Ask The Comfort Zone Catering for a list of recommendations for your beach front catered event. One of our favorites is:

  • Airport Beach Park & Gazebo* – Uninterrupted stretch of sand running from Black Rock to the Embassy. Perfect for family gatherings, baby luaus or birthday parties. Includes a grassy park and gazebo.

Puunoa Private Estate Weddings on Maui

Day Use Event and Wedding Location

If you are looking for a private estate wedding reception venue with amazing ocean views on the west side of Maui, then the private Puunoa Estate is an option! The estate is available as an event venue rental for day full day use from 10 am to 10 pm or in 3 hour blocks of time. Pricing for Maui wedding receptions at this site varies dependent on guest count and other considerations.

Onsite vacation accommodations are not available at the Puunoa Estate wedding location. Please use the following site fee price estimates below as a guidelines only. A site fee quote with price will be provided based on details for each specific wedding.

Events and Wedding receptions s between 10 am and 10 pm (inclusive of setup and tear down with cleanup):

  • 1 to 50 guests, $1800
  • 51 to 75 guests, $2250
  • 76 to 150 guests, $2500

You may want to rent the private estate for a sunset wedding reception with a catered wedding reception dinner. 3 hour event site use fees begin at $1000. Have a menu in mind? Plan a sunset wedding followed by a complete wedding reception dinner or serve catered Hawaiian hors d’oeuvres with a signature cocktail bar for a more affordable wedding reception on Maui.

Yes, you can get married on Maui on a working farm. With the farm to table movement, farm weddings on Maui have grown in popularity in recent years. The best West Maui locations for a farm wedding will be either the Lahaina Barn at Laniapoko (up to 75 guests), the Dragon Fruit Farm or a Kaanapali Coffee farm wedding. Wonderful for a Sunday Brunch since you can order breakfast until 11:00am! Had a ‘custom’ 3 ingredient omelette (I chose mushrooms, feta and spinach) with nicely crunchy on the outside and soft inside home potatoes, yummy. Hubby had the pancakes with fresh fruit! These are light fluffy slightly sweet batter pancakes, not those heavy bland ones (OK I admit it, I had to have a few bites of his breakfast…) Service was fast and friendly :0). The menu is EXTENSIVE, we live here and love it!

CJ’s Deli and Diner Maui Restaurant Review

Fact: CJ’s Maui onion soup will melt your face off it’s so good. Best I’ve ever had. It gets 20 stars.
Alas, it’s not on the menu every day… But when my fiancee and I went this past summer and were lucky to meet Chef CJ in person and mentioned that we had been thinking about the onion soup since the last time we visited two years earlier, he was kind enough to put it on the next day’s menu. We went back the following day and ordered it, and it was amazing, just as we had remembered. Another fact: the onion soup at CJ’s is better than the onion soup at Mama’s Fish House (and at like 1/4th of the price). Really. It’s that good. Part of me wants to reverse engineer CJ’s onion soup recipe, quit my job, and make millions selling onion soup to the mainland masses! (or: CJ, wanna make a deal?)
I think that the loco moco gravy is made from the same goodness. So that’s great too. The potato salad is tasty as well.
The to-go lunch plate is respectable.

Maui Chef CJ Prepares Mushroom Soup for Kaanapali Restaurant Guest

On a previous visit to Maui, I had the most delicious mushroom soup at CJ’s Deli and Diner in Kaanapali. When I arrived in Maui this week, I emailed the restaurant and asked what day they might have the soup. The owner and chef, Christian Jorgensen (CJ), promptly replied even though he was on vacation in Vegas. He gave me a number to call to check on the soup of the day. Then when he returned to Maui on Friday, he emailed me to let me know he would have the soup for me on Saturday. When I got there, he was so friendly and the soup was even more scrumptious than I had remembered. I really appreciated how valued he made me feel as a customer.

Aloha, We were in to see you many times during our stay last month in Ka’anapali, couple of things for you:
Need to order some more of your CJ’s roasted Kona Coffee. I see it’s not yet on your website, only the Maui Coffee Co. stuff. We ran out last weekend and are having withdrawls, please help!! Need 2 bags urgently!!
Secondly, your claim about having the best corned beef hash on the island. I think you’ve understated this because it’s the best I’ve had any where in the world! And that covers a lot of ground as I’ve been to every continent multiple times. Just the best anywhere, period!! Don’t suppose you would have that for delivery to Indiana would you? Maybe by the pound(s)?
Great people and even better food, Mahalo CJ’s. Seriously though, please let me know about that coffee. How do we get some ordered and shipped to Indiana?

​CJ’s Deli & Diner Rocks! Been here several times while visiting Maui – each time we tried different meals and each time we LOVED the food, service and atmosphere. Only suggestion would be to provide regular dinner napkins along with this paper type – because we’re messy!
