3 Reasons Why Choosing a Maui Wedding Location is The First Decision

Maui catering for Maui weddings. You got engaged over the holidays and are planning your destination wedding in Hawaii? Congratulations! Now is the time to start planning a Maui wedding day to make all your destination wedding dreams come true!! Not sure where to begin? The first step to planning the perfect destination wedding is to select a wedding location on Maui. Discover the 3 primary reasons why choosing a wedding location is the most important decision you’ll make about a destination wedding on Maui!

  1. Choosing a Maui Wedding Location Saves Money – Selecting a wedding location before other wedding decisions are made saves money and allows you to plan an affordable wedding on Maui. The biggest savings are realized when you select a wedding location able to accommodate multiple wedding events utilizing the same wedding location. Hosting a welcome barbecue for wedding guests, the wedding ceremony followed by a wedding reception at the same wedding venue allows reuse of wedding rental equipment such as seating, tables, lighting, bambooBamboo Chuppah for Catered Event at the Olowalu Plantation House in West Maui. Plan an Olowalu Plantion House wedding. chuppa coverings and other decorations. Delivery fees are reduced or eliminated; setup and tear down fees and other expenses are significantly less or eliminated altogether when equipment is reused for multiple functions over the course of a few days. Some Maui accommodations permit weddings on site when the wedding party or the wedding guests are housed in their guest accommodations. Utilizing the wedding location where you house your wedding guests can provide savings on separate wedding site fees while eliminating the hassle of finding a wedding venue in Hawaii. Transportation expenses are reduced by eliminating the need to transport guests back and forth between wedding and wedding reception locations or guest accommodations.
  2. Wedding Service Provider Options are Expanded – Since many wedding venues on Maui insist on certain wedding service providers for weddings and events at their facility or place restrictions on outside wedding service providers, when you choose your wedding location first you’ll be able to select a location that permits the Maui chef you want to cater your wedding reception or the musician you want to play for the wedding ceremony. You’ll have the option to utilize any wedding service provider on Maui! Purchase fresh Maui wedding flowers and fresh flower lei for weddings on Maui.flower lei or wedding flower arrangements from a Maui florist of your choice instead of from the hotel’s preferred wedding vendor. If you choose a wedding venue on Maui where you are limited to select only from their list of approved wedding service providers or to use the onsite wedding catering services you will at least be aware of the limited options. Perhaps you’ll want to arrange for an offsite welcome barbecue and then host your wedding reception at alternative location from the wedding ceremony. We often supply a welcome barbecue along with catered wedding reception package for considerably less than resorts charge. There are only a few wedding locations on Maui able to accommodate large groups and large wedding receptions. While most weddings on Maui average less than 75 guests, if you are planning a wedding with a large guest list you’ll need to select a venue suitable for the wedding guest count. We recommend making the Maui wedding location your first wedding planning decision! Download our FREE MauiDownload a FREE Maui Beach Wedding Lcoations eBook. Beach Wedding Locations eBook.
A Tip for Affordable Weddings on Maui: Avoid the high costs of alcohol at resort hotels and restaurants by providing your own alcoholic beverages. Ask us for a list of wedding locations on Maui where offsite liquor is allowed to be consumed at your wedding reception or wedding events. We’ll help you find the best sources to purchase alcoholic beverages for your wedding, supply a licensed bartender to serve your wedding guests and suggest the wedding locations perfect for your wedding guest count.
  3. The Most Wedding Planning Flexibility by Picking a Wedding Location First – The rest of your wedding planning is easier and you have the most flexibility when you choose a wedding location first. Once you know where the wedding on Maui will be, you’ll be able to pick a wedding date knowing the venue is available. Then, you’ll be able to find wedding suppliers available on the day of the wedding and locate service providers who are best suited for the location and supplying everything you need for a perfect wedding in Hawaii. Whether you work with a wedding planner or coordinator to arrange the wedding details, select all inclusive Maui wedding packages with everything included or decide to manage the wedding planning yourself, once you know the wedding location the remaining wedding plans will fall into place. You’ll know the budget you need for the wedding location, the amount of guests the location is able to accommodate comfortably and how much food and beverage to serve at the venue.

Affordable Maui Weddings and Catering

Choose a wedding site on Maui  capable of accommodating multiple wedding events at the same location. Host a welcome beach barbecue or a rehearsal dinner, a wedding ceremony followed by the wedding reception AND houses your wedding guests in lodging accommodations where your wedding will be! This is the best way to plan an affordable Hawaii wedding and spend the most time with family and guests who traveled hundreds of miles to attend your destination wedding in Hawaii. CJ’s Kaanapali Diner Review

My daughter and I visited Maui a couple of weeks ago and came to your restaurant 3 times. I just wanted to thank you for your willingness to meet our gluten-free, dairy-free, egg-free requirements. We loved being able to eat out safely and wish we had a CJ’s at home! I just wrote you a stellar review on Trip Advisor. Hope you have a wonderful rest of the summer!

CJ’s Maui Restaurant Review

Wonderful for a Sunday Brunch since you can order breakfast until 11:00am! Had a ‘custom’ 3 ingredient omelette (I chose mushrooms, feta and spinach) with nicely crunchy on the outside and soft inside home potatoes, yummy. Hubby had the pancakes with fresh fruit! These are light fluffy slightly sweet batter pancakes, not those heavy bland ones (OK I admit it, I had to have a few bites of his breakfast…) Service was fast and friendly :0). The menu is EXTENSIVE, we live here and love it!

CJ’s Deli and Diner Maui Restaurant Review

Fact: CJ’s Maui onion soup will melt your face off it’s so good. Best I’ve ever had. It gets 20 stars.
Alas, it’s not on the menu every day… But when my fiancee and I went this past summer and were lucky to meet Chef CJ in person and mentioned that we had been thinking about the onion soup since the last time we visited two years earlier, he was kind enough to put it on the next day’s menu. We went back the following day and ordered it, and it was amazing, just as we had remembered. Another fact: the onion soup at CJ’s is better than the onion soup at Mama’s Fish House (and at like 1/4th of the price). Really. It’s that good. Part of me wants to reverse engineer CJ’s onion soup recipe, quit my job, and make millions selling onion soup to the mainland masses! (or: CJ, wanna make a deal?)
I think that the loco moco gravy is made from the same goodness. So that’s great too. The potato salad is tasty as well.
The to-go lunch plate is respectable.

Maui Chef CJ Prepares Mushroom Soup for Kaanapali Restaurant Guest

On a previous visit to Maui, I had the most delicious mushroom soup at CJ’s Deli and Diner in Kaanapali. When I arrived in Maui this week, I emailed the restaurant and asked what day they might have the soup. The owner and chef, Christian Jorgensen (CJ), promptly replied even though he was on vacation in Vegas. He gave me a number to call to check on the soup of the day. Then when he returned to Maui on Friday, he emailed me to let me know he would have the soup for me on Saturday. When I got there, he was so friendly and the soup was even more scrumptious than I had remembered. I really appreciated how valued he made me feel as a customer.

Good Morning, My wife and I spent last week in Maui. Your early bird special was the best. After we found you, we ate breakfast there every morning. You had two regular coffees that we just loved.

Aloha, We were in to see you many times during our stay last month in Ka’anapali, couple of things for you:
Need to order some more of your CJ’s roasted Kona Coffee. I see it’s not yet on your website, only the Maui Coffee Co. stuff. We ran out last weekend and are having withdrawls, please help!! Need 2 bags urgently!!
Secondly, your claim about having the best corned beef hash on the island. I think you’ve understated this because it’s the best I’ve had any where in the world! And that covers a lot of ground as I’ve been to every continent multiple times. Just the best anywhere, period!! Don’t suppose you would have that for delivery to Indiana would you? Maybe by the pound(s)?
Great people and even better food, Mahalo CJ’s. Seriously though, please let me know about that coffee. How do we get some ordered and shipped to Indiana?

CJ’s Deli & Diner Rocks! Been here several times while visiting Maui – each time we tried different meals and each time we LOVED the food, service and atmosphere. Only suggestion would be to provide regular dinner napkins along with this paper type – because we’re messy!
