Following up to our earlier blog article, the Whaler’s Stew Recipe from the Cooking with Cutty show is below. In the nationally aired episode, Chef Christian Jorgensen teamed with Cutty in his Cooking with Cutty ‘Sailors Stew’ from Kaanapali Beach Maui.

3 Medium Size Maui Onions 2 Tablespoon Olive Oil 1 Tablespoon Chopped Garlic 3 Stalks Celery 3 Carrots 1/3 Head Green Cabbage 2 Molokai Sweet Potatoes 1 Maui Yam 1 Green Bell Pepper 1 Can Kidney Beans 1 Can Pinto Beans 1 Can Diced Tomatoes |
10 oz Fresh Hawaiian Fish (Firm Mahi, Ono, Sword, Opa, Marlin) 1 Stick Portuguese Sausage (Linguessa) 10 Prawns Shell On 4 Chicken Breast or Chicken Thigh (Optional with or with out Bone) 2 Quarts Fish or Chicken Stock (1 Quarts White Wine Optional) 1 Each Table Spoon: Saffron / 1 x Thyme / 1 x Bay Leaves / Pinch of Cinnamon. To Taste: Salt & Pepper |
